Why do I Keep restarting this?

So I figured that I would start writing again. I mean it is a new semester, a new year, so a new start. I also have a word press, and I don't know if I will post here, or there or both. Oh well, Here is the first post of probably a short career for this semester.

Can I Say Stupid Church?

So here's the deal. I don't think the Church is stupid, I think some administrators of churches are stupid.

What my issue is, I don't like to be micro-managed, and I am currently in an internship where that is what my overseer is doing. Wanting me to list every little thing I do for ministry to make sure I am doing enough ministry hours, he is somewhat upset that I am dropping part of the Worship ministry duties that I was doing, so that I can start doing some teaching. He talked with me about my time management skill, and then said he wasn't sure I had enough time to be running my small group. To that I wanted to say "Actually if I don't have enough time, maybe I will drop all worship activities I am involved in and concentrate completely on the teaching." But I didn't because I like my apartment.

Anyway, I am somewhat frustrated, and have been very busy with all kinds of stuff...

May You Shelter in the...

"May you shelter in the palm of the Creator's hand, and may the last embrace of the mother welcome you home." - Robert Jordan

On September 16, 2007 around 2:45pm, James Oliver Rigney lost his battle with Amyloidosis. James Rigney, known as Robert Jordan, is the author of the Wheel of Time series as well as several other fantasy books. The Wheel of Time series had 11 books in the series and one prequel. The series is currently unfinished, with one book left to be written. From what I have heard, Robert Jordan recorded all of the plot lines and major goings on of the story and has a army of writers that will be finishing the final book.

I am a big fan of the Wheel of Time series and would recommend it to any fantasy reader. I would like to send my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of James. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

Busy...Not Me

So one of my faithful readers...ok, my only faithful reader is unhappy at the fact that I don't update this blog enough. The fact is that stress and classes have been getting the better of me. Currently I am taking a break from reading, tonight I have to read an entire book on leadership, another large chapter on Diffusion of Innovation, the Pastoral Epistles, and another chapter on how to preach pretty. I'm halfway done with the book, but other than that I haven't got anything else started. My mind is fried, so I'm probably not really sounding witty, and I think my wit is failing me in regular conversation as well as written. What is this world coming too...

New Communion?!?

So I overheard someone talking about a new edict issued by the Pope today. Supposedly, the Catholic Church will now be recognizing a new, synthetic form of bread during communion. The new type of "bread" will come in a couple of different shapes, including your typical flat disc wafer, a cross, and an Ichthus. Taste tests were done, and there are a couple of different flavors that will be available to parishioners. There is white, wheat, and for the more liberal Catholics, jalapeƱo flavored. Of course, not all parishes will have all of the flavor options.
This move by the Catholic Church is a surprising one coming from Pope Benny, who is very staunch theologian. The New Communion will probably be in most parishes by the new year, oh and I almost forgot to tell you the name, it will no longer be called the Eucharist, but "I can't Believe it's not Jesus!"

Back at it...

So school has started. What does that mean for my readers here, well it means that I will likely have a bit more time to blog here. So basically, you get to hear stupid things that I find mildly amusing, and then my thoughts on them. So really, my question is why do you read it? What do you want me to talk about?

Please, respond...otherwise I will talk about a lot of really stupid things.

I'm serious.
