New Communion?!?

So I overheard someone talking about a new edict issued by the Pope today. Supposedly, the Catholic Church will now be recognizing a new, synthetic form of bread during communion. The new type of "bread" will come in a couple of different shapes, including your typical flat disc wafer, a cross, and an Ichthus. Taste tests were done, and there are a couple of different flavors that will be available to parishioners. There is white, wheat, and for the more liberal Catholics, jalapeƱo flavored. Of course, not all parishes will have all of the flavor options.
This move by the Catholic Church is a surprising one coming from Pope Benny, who is very staunch theologian. The New Communion will probably be in most parishes by the new year, oh and I almost forgot to tell you the name, it will no longer be called the Eucharist, but "I can't Believe it's not Jesus!"

"Big butter Jesus..."

To answer your question, the second translation will be more of a message-like "Dynamic Equivalent" (with a little more dynamic and a little less equivalent if you ask some). The first will (and does) read much like the NASB. Who knew...those guys did something right.
